Originating from ancient Egypt, this award-winning dukkah (from the arabic, meaning “to crush”) from Vasse Valley takes a traditional blend of nuts and spices and throws in a delicious protein kick from roasted hemp seeds grown here in Australia. These guys have played a key role in establishing Hempgro, a farmers co-operative whose vision is to establish, develop and support a sustainable and prosperous hemp industry for Western Australia. Oh, and while they were at it, they have developed this incredible dukkah. Sprinkle on roast veggies, wedges, on your salad for a delicious bit of crunch, use as a crust on a piece of salmon, or just dip some oily sourdough in it.
